Asanga Welikala

Asanga Welikala specialises in comparative constitutional law and applied constitutional theory. Currently writing up his PhD thesis on plurinational constitutionalism as applied to Sri Lanka, he is ESRC Teaching Fellow in Public Law at Edinburgh Law School. He is also a Senior Researcher of the Centre for Policy Alternatives (CPA), Sri Lanka, and a Project Director at the Center for Constitutional Transitions at NYU Law School. His most recent publication is the two-volume edited collection (2012) The Sri Lankan Republic at 40: Reflections on Constitutional History, Theory and Practice (Colombo: CPA). He is currently working on a number of publications, including a collection of essays on Sri Lankan presidentialism.
